TBS......how far you have fallen. your new album hasnt even been released yet, but we have known for months that it will be the beginning of the end. this is the stuff that pisses me off about the radio. what, you cant stay true to yourself, loyal to your fans, loyal to Victory Records who released your debut and second album (you have sold the most albums for their label and through these albums, you started a musical genre revolution, not to mention the masculine emotion catharsis your lyrics and angst allowed to happen), sell millions of albums, sell out concerts all over the country before your songs get on the radio.....and be happy with that? You have to go to Warner Brothers Records??? WTF. i mean seriously.
that just sucks. that is the definition of Sell Out.
O.A.R. takes a step away from Everfine Records, which they founded.
TBS leaves Victory Records for WB
ridiculous...
i mean how can a new TBS album be the same when it is being produced by someone from WB...sounds kinda Blink-182esque or maybe Dave (dare i say it? hmm...how were those two connected again??? oh yeah, the same producer). And on top of that, you are in sunny southern California recording an Emo/rock/punk/ no-longer-indie album? it is sunny and happy and fun and beautiful out there. not dark and stressful and painful and rainy and full of parents who ignore you or arent around.....that is why Emo was born in D.C. that isnt a coincidence. I know you came from NY and got big in NJ and the DC area.....so why CA? Do you want to sound like Switchfoot? or POD?
i am not saying the location will change who you are, it is just another element of this bullshit situation which makes me sad and makes me feel like you are falling to your death through popularity.
