Gotta love the whiteboard

I have told many people lately how much I love these new UPS commercials. I have always been a firm believer and supporter of good advertising. It has a lot to do with how my mind naturally works on that level and I can really appreciate all the thought that went into it, the way they are trying to convince me and hook me, the psychological side of advertising. I love it. But in this case, it is the smallest thing that immediately sold me on these commercials.

the music.

some may not be surprised and i know i am not the only one who noticed, but i definitely do think it is a stroke of genius. the song playing in the background of this series of commercials is by the band The Postal Service. How great is that? It is one of my favorite songs and this is the better version than the cover on the Garden State soundtrack. So amazing. Umm so I think that is the main reason I like it. combined with its simplicity and minimalist feel, the warmth and welcoming atmosphere, the cool and hip Justin Long-esque actor... a little humor tossed in there. All in all, a great ad campaign. Well done UPS.
